The trip is done, and the return phase was as smooth and uneventful as anticipated. The phrase I was thinking of for Mars and Mercury in Virgo in the 9th House was “swiftness and precision,” and the flights were all of that. We arrived early at both airports, and even the final landing was a little more accomplished than the previous three; these modern jet jockey apparently aren’t taught the fine art of the bounceless touchdown any longer. They come in hot and slam down – and up – and down. I was wondering how many traumatized dead people they find in their seats after these artless descents. I once overheard a military jet pilot telling his family at the Philadelphia airport about landing a jet airliner. He said “You don’t land a jet aircraft. It’s more of a controlled crash.” I’ve come to believe this.
