Who Killed Melissa? – A “Whodunit” Reading

UPDATE: A 74-year-old former Massachusetts man has been arrested for this crime. He now resides in Alabama, so the only aspect of the reading that was remotely accurate is that the perpetrator is somewhere in the “Southeast.” Here is a current news release:

Original Post:

In 1988, 11-year-old Melissa Tremblay of Salem, NH was stabbed to death in Lawrence, MA and left on a railroad track. No-one has ever been charged with her murder.

I performed my “Rogue’s Gallery” spread on this cold case to see what it might tell me. The Ace of Swords (Spades, the “death card” in playing-card divination) turned up in the seventh position of the layout, with the 3 of Wands reversed between it and the designated “rogue,” the Queen of Cups reversed. The position shows that it was not someone close to her, and the intervening 3 of Wands rx – with its emphasis on distant shores – suggests it may have been an immigrant and possibly a transient who was “flying under the radar.” The unusual thing for this kind of case is that the putative killer shows up as a mature woman over 45 who may have been emotionally unstable and living a “double life,” and Melissa was a wandering target of opportunity. Typically, predatory males are the prime suspects in these situations but the news reports contain no detail regarding whether there was any evidence of molestation. If the perpetrator is still alive, the geographic location aspect of this spread (following horoscopic principles) points to the southeast, which would place the person of interest in eastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island.
