If you’re new to this blog, this is just a quick reminder that it isn’t monetized on the basis of “clicks.” At least not by me. WordPress rides on my coat-tails and puts up ads, even though I have no say in them, never see them myself, and can’t get rid of them unless I pay for an annual subscription, which I stopped doing last year because it wasn’t buying me anything special and I still have to pay for the domain name. Since they’re at the bottom of the page, you should be able to ignore them.
If you like what you see, stop by often and tell your friends. I’m closing in on 1,500 posts now. Even though the content is always free (of course, if you want it all in one place you can buy my inexpensive e-books that capture my first five years), it does me good to see the traffic. Otherwise it kind of feels like I’m “howling in the wilderness,” although to be honest I write mostly for my own satisfaction as a lifelong student of the topics I choose to cover. Occasionally I do get a request to perform an online reading, but most of my practice is aimed at face-to-face clients, which I consider the most effective (and most professionally rewarding) way to read for someone else, although remote reading can be made to work after a fashion. But I can count the occurrences of that on both hands and have fingers left over.
Although the stated subject matter is “divination” in all the forms I’ve managed to explore so far (Google the “-mancy” suffix sometime to see just how many unique kinds there are), my narrative range is largely focused on tarot and Lenormand, with a sprinkling of natal and horary astrology, Hermetic Qabalah, I Ching, spirituality, esoteric psychology, geomancy and what I call a “mixed-media” approach to prediction (for example, cards and dice in combination). If that floats your boat, I’m delighted to see you here. If not, maybe someday I’ll hit upon a topic that does. I try to write something new (or at least not too shopworn) every day, and often take my cues from things I encounter in the online tarot forums and social-media pages in an attempt to stay current with what is on the minds of my peers. I have no clue what kind of daily traffic is considered excellent, but if I reach 100 hits with any regularity I’m happy.
